Major browser updates

In 2025, Octo became even more convenient and secure and received new profile management capabilities. To achieve this, our team released four major updates with new features and improvements.

We strictly follow the Google Chrome release schedule and update our browser kernel on a monthly basis. Each update goes through thorough testing by the R&D and QA teams to ensure stability and full support for modern features. At the same time, we continue to be among the first to release updated kernels.

Additional resources

Starting in February, our subscriptions became more flexible. You can add the required number of profiles, team members, and API requests without changing your subscription. Configure additional resources to match your tasks and pay only for what you actually use.

Speed and performance improvements

In versions 2.6 and 2.7, Octo Browser’s speed, response time, and overall performance increased. Users experienced more productive workflows, lower resource consumption, and higher process stability, especially when working with a large number of profiles.

Mobile fingerprints

In September, the long-awaited update that shipped mobile fingerprints was released. You can now create profiles with Android mobile fingerprints. For any website, such profiles look like real users visiting from a smartphone or tablet.

One-time profiles

We know how important simplicity is in automation, which is why Octo Browser’s API now supports one-time disposable profiles. Profiles are created at launch and automatically deleted after the session ends. This solution is ideal for web scraping: you visit a website with a new browser fingerprint, collect data, and the profile is removed without a trace.

Command-Line Switches

In update 2.8, we added support for browser command-line switches. Command-line switches are advanced parameters for fine-tuning the browser. They allow you to directly control browser behavior, e.g., blocking images, disabling extensions, and changing other settings.

Interface localization

We added support for two new languages: Vietnamese and Spanish. Creating profiles and managing the browser is now even easier for more users around the world.
