Update 1.15 ships several highly anticipated and very useful features. We’ve updated and improved tags and extensions management and made other changes that will make your work with Octo even more convenient.
Tags: quick editing, colors, and pinning
The most anticipated major feature of this release is the tag system update. Managing them will become even more flexible and convenient: now you can edit names, assign colors, and pin tags to always keep them visible when you’re working with the profile list. Additionally, we've doubled the maximum tag length.
With the latest release you can quickly add new tags and assign them directly from the profile list.
Tags now have a quick editing menu: you can edit any tag from any Octo Browser location that has access to the tag list.
You can assign different colors to tags! Now you can color-code tags according to your needs.
Pin profile tags. The pinned tag will be displayed first on the tag list. You can use this function as an always-visible profile status.
We’ve updated bulk tag management: now you don’t need to deal with two different windows to assign or remove tags for selected profiles.
Furthermore, you can hide the tag list if it’s too big and interferes with your work with the profile list.
Extensions: Removal and New Installation Methods, Bulk Management
Thanks to the feedback from our users, we have significantly improved the management of browser extensions. After updating Octo Browser you will be able to easily remove the extensions you no longer use.
Add extensions via Chrome Web Store links or use a file or folder to quickly install new extensions.
If you need to keep a specific extension version, simply disable automatic updates during its installation. This feature is only available when installing extensions using a link, file, or folder.
Bulk management of profile extensions is also now available: you can add or remove extensions for selected profiles using a convenient interface.
Bulk Actions Redesign
Now the bulk actions menu accessible from lists is always displayed at the bottom of the screen, keeping all functions visible as you scroll through the pages.
Other Improvements and Fixes
The areas providing access to search and main functional buttons have been redesigned for lists. Now these areas take up less vertical space and remain pinned at the top as you scroll through the lists.
The Trash has moved to the top menu bar and is now always visible.
New tooltips have been added to various Octo Browser interfaces.
